DCOPS is the fastest and easiest to use community and problem-solving policing system. It shortens complex analysis time to seconds (from weeks) and provides new and unique artificial intelligence and automation capabilities. Chiefs, patrol managers, and officers receive near instant management analyses that clearly prioritize, target, pinpoint, and help solve community problems.
DCOPS examines both the big picture for top managers, a "middle view" for supervisors, and the "smallest patrol area details" for each officer. It automatically pinpoints "community, problem, location, and time trends." DCOPS generates Early Warnings of growing problems in each of your communities.

DCOPS does the billions of calculations necessary to find all the crime patterns in your jurisdiction. It uncovers crime by community, by time of day, by day of week, and by address. DCOPS automatically warns your of patterns; hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal, yearly, and multi-year patterns and trends. Constantly, DCOPS updates community and beat profiles producing new hunches.   Weekly it evaluates problem-solving progress, and detects problem movement. Managers and officers get instant responses to their most pressing questions.
Your managers set the priorities for each of 81 problem categories and DCOPS helps you optimize the use of officers' time by using your priorities to produce beat and neighborhood problem rankings. Weekly, each officer receives a custom four page report showing ranked problems, the best time and place by shift to work them, and the addresses and conditions at the root of the problem(s). Officers and supervisors use the first and second page to decide which of the top problems to work.   The third page pins down the precise addresses and conditions that lead to the top-ranked problems.  The last page lists the hottest addresses in each officer's patrol area. DCOPS detects and reports trends and patterns that may have gone undetected in the past for weeks, months, or even years.

If officers need more details they can use the "interactive DCOPS" to pop-up more analysis or to drill down to even greater details in seconds. "Interactive DCOPS" is driven by a simple menu with nine push buttons (on right). A street map of your jurisdiction, and beat maps shows your analysis areas (100's or 1000's of report areas, atoms, census blocks, or postal zones). You can find the location(s) of a severe problem (e.g. robberies) in a fraction of a second. Deeper analysis of a grid or beat is nearly instant. Drill-downs to specific address and greater details takes a second.

No other system offers the simplicity, speed, searching, and early warning capabilities of DCOPS.

DCOPS and PROS (it's integrated companion) are used in many  large metro areas in the US. Community policing officers, patrol officers, managers, supervisors, and chiefs praise DCOPS for its abilities to generate trends and hunches, scan and analyze problems, address problems promptly (which reduces repetitive call answering and frees more time for proactive work).  Each week DCOPS assessing problem-solution progress. Departments such as Long Beach, California, Midland, Texas, Mesa, Arizona, Fresno, California, El Paso, Texas, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida,. Syracuse, New York and many others use DCOPS to optimize and speed their problem solving progress.
DCOPS pinpoints problems in communities by shift, hour/days, small area, and address in a second so officers' can work more effectively.

Summary

DCOPS uses the Pareto principle, "The most important problems should be tackled first, because solving them will yield the largest benefits." DCOPS provides "holistic analysis" to do automatic hunch and pattern generation by simultaneously examining every piece of CAD and records data. Each week (or day, or shift if desired) DCOPS automatically reads all your CAD and your officer report (or Records) data. It analyzes, searches out and ranks all crime trends and patterns. It pinpoints recurring problems that when solved reduce call workloads. It automatically produces beat and neighborhood profiles, unattended. Each week supervisors and officers receive progress reports for evaluating past work and planning their next efforts for solving the most pressing, and "patrol time consuming" neighborhood problems. This constantly focuses the agency's thinking on local neighborhoods and their problems.
